McCurry has 40 years experience in the insurance industry and currently serves as the vice-chairman of Savannah-based Seacrest Partners, Inc.  He graduated from UGA in 1971 with a BBA in Risk Management and Insurance and is a Chartered Property-Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), the insurance industry’s highest professional designation.

Prior to joining Seacrest Partners in 2009, McCurry served as chairman of Willis HRH’s Savannah operations where he was employed for more than 39 years.

An avid UGA supporter and active community leader, McCurry has volunteered his time with dozens of civic and social service organizations locally and throughout the state. He currently serves on the board of directors of University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System and The Coastal Bank, and is the past chairman of Savannah Economic Development Authority, Candler Foundation and Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce.
